At Toyota Industries Corporation, we are actively working towards achieving a carbon-neutral society by leveraging FC (Fuel Cell) modules to optimize the use of renewable energy. Today, we’d like to introduce our demonstration facility, “E PLAZA”.
Located at our Takahama Plant, “E PLAZA” combines solar power generation, the stationary energy storage system “MEGALORE”, and an “FC generator” powered by our FC modules to demonstrate an effective way of utilizing renewable energy.
For example, on cloudy or rainy days, electricity is supplied using hydrogen, enabling energy production without CO2 emissions. With a system that is not affected by weather conditions, we will strive to achieve both stable plant operation and carbon neutrality.
FC modules are a crucial technological key to achieving a carbon-neutral society. We will continue pursuing performance improvements and taking steady steps toward realizing this goal. Stay tuned for future developments!
